Amid growing demand for the postponement of NEET UG 2020 from the student community, political people and Bollywood Celebrities, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released NEET UG 2020 admit cards which can be downloaded from the official NEET website using NEET Application Number, Password and Date of Birth.
In its recent official notice, the NTA has mentioned about various measures taken for the safe conduct of the exam. According to the notice, the NTA has ensured that more than 99% candidates get their first choice of Centre Cities. The number of Exam Centres have also been increased from 2546 to 3843. In order to meet the social distancing requirements, there has been a substantial increase in the number of centres than previous year.
15.97 lakh candidates have been registered for NEET UG 2020. In order to ensure proper social distancing inside the exam halls, the number of candidates per room has been reduced from earlier 24 to 12 now. For ensuring social distancing outside the examination hall, the entry and exit of candidates has been staggered. Adequate arrangements have also been made outside the exam centres to enable candidates stand with adequate social distancing, while waiting. Candidates have also been issued advisory guiding them about "Do’s and Don'ts" on the exam day for proper social distancing.
The NTA has also written to the States Governments to extend support in local movement of the candidates so that they are able to reach their exam centres on time. It also assures all candidates a safe environment for the exam and solicits cooperation from the candidates and their parents in following the standard operating procedures.
NEET UG 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on 13 September 2020.
