The Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai has released a tentative counselling schedule to MBBS admission and BDS admission degree courses in the 2020-2021 session under the management quota. After the completion of the first round of admission under the management quota, the second round is scheduled from 11th January to 13th January.
Students who have scored marks from 506-700 should be present at the venue on 11th January at 02:00 PM. Similarly, students who have scored marks from 442-505; 382-441 and 321-381 should report themselves at 09:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 02:00 PM respectively on 12th January. Finally, students who have scored marks from 250-320; 178-249 and 113-177 should report in the venue at 09:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 02:00 PM respectively on 13th January.
The venue of the counselling is Nehru Outdoor Stadium, Periamedu, Chennai (near Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran, Chennai Central Railway Station).
General Instructions to attend the second phase of counselling:
Allotted Candidate should produce a Demand Draft of Rs 100/- payable in favor of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai- 10” if not paid previously.
Candidate should produce these documents in original if not studying anywhere else:
Selected candidates will have to pay an amount of Rupees 1 Lakh as registration fee in the form of a Demand draft in favor of the “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai- 10” during the allotment, the fee being non-refundable if the student discontinues or doesn’t join the course.
Candidates should carry original/photo-copy of fee-receipt/ admission slip/ Bonafide certificate from the Head of the Institution who took allotment in the 1st phase of counselling.
Candidates who fail to join within the stipulated time after the UG medical counselling will have to pay penalty as this is the final phase of counselling.
