As the exam dates for NEET UG are likely to be disclosed soon, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has mentioned that NEET 2021 will have more internal choices. This step has been taken to reduce the stress of the students who have prepared themselves on the basis of reduced syllabus as prescribed by most of the boards including CBSE for the medical entrance examination. However, there would be no change in the syllabus of the exam.
There were a lot of speculations going on about the NEET UG exam pattern including the exam to be conducted twice a year. While there was a clearance given earlier that NEET exam for medical admissions in medical colleges in India will be conducted once, there weren’t any statement made on the syllabus and questions. Medical aspirants can now have some relief with the exam pattern having internal choices in it.
The NEET exam usually has 45 questions from Physics and Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology with 4 marks awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for every negative answer for total 180 questions carrying 720 marks. The exam is held for 3 hours on pen and paper mode. This year the question paper is expected to carry more questions for students to have an internal choice. The exact pattern of NEET UG 2021 is yet to be announced.
