The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the much waited dates of NEET 2021 exam date which is going to be held on August 1, 2021. Along with that, NTA has also informed that NEET 2021 scores may be used for admissions to Nursing Courses along with MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and veterinary seats. NEET 2021 is the single common and largest examination held in the country for undergraduate medical admissions in medical colleges in India.
The official notification released by NTA stated that, “The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central/State Governments (including Indian Nursing Council/ Nursing Colleges/ Schools, JIPMER) for counselling/ admission to relevant courses [including BSc Nursing and BSc Life Sciences] in accordance with their rules/ norms/ guidelines.”
Shutting down many speculations of conducting NEET twice a year and in online mode, NTA has informed that NEET will be conducted once this year in 11 languages and in pen and paper mode. The NEET 2021 application form along with information bulletin is yet to be released by NTA.
However, it is not confirmed if NEET will be the only qualifying examination for admissions to nursing courses in Nursing Colleges in India. Clear information about it is expected with the release of NEET 2021 brochure by the National Testing Agency.
