The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for PG medical admissions is going to be held on April 18th across various test centres in the country but the rising number of positive COVID-19 cases is a genuine point of concern for the candidates. There is no doubt to the fact that COVID-19 cases are increasing very rapidly but the importance of NEET PG examination cannot be ignored. To avoid casualties and for the safe conduct of the examination, NBE has released a code of NEET PG 2021 with Covid-19 appropriate behavior.
NBE has increased the number of test centres and testing seats in the wake of the recent surge of Covd-19 cases. Candidates who had chosen the option ‘OTHERS’ in the registration form have been allotted test centres within their state of correspondence address avoiding inter-state travels. Candidates will be given a Covid-19 E-pass to facilitate movement in the restricted areas. To avoid crowding at the test venue entry, there will be staggered time slots for candidates to report which will be sent to them by e-mails and SMS. Similarly, candidates will be directed to leave the test venue in a staggered manner which will be communicated by the respective centre in-charges upon the completion of examination.
All candidates will have to compulsorily wear appropriate face masks without which they shall not be allowed to enter the examination centres. Candidates will not be allowed carry any items except their admit cards with them. All candidates will be checked with thermal guns on their entry at the examination centre. If candidate is found having symptoms, the candidate will be allowed to take the exam but in a separate isolation lab. All candidates will be provided with a protective gear safety kit comprising of a face shield, a face mask and 5 hand sanitizer sachets.
Candidates are advised to refrain taking the exams if they are not well or have COVID-19 and the laid code will be compulsory for every candidate.
