No Minimum Marks for Karnataka Entrance Test 2021-21

Date: 10-Jun-2021

With Karnataka State Government cancelling the Second PUC Board Examinations due to the second wave of COVID-19, the State Education Department waived minimum marks for KCET to get in engineering and medical colleges in Karnataka.

According to State Deputy Chief Minister C.N. Ashwath Narayan, PUC students don't need minimum marks for KCET 2021-21 which will be conducted on August 28-30 to get a seat in a professional course.

KCET 2021 will be conducted in designated centres under the COVID-induced guidelines in Maths and Biology on August 28 and Physics and Chemistry on August 29 with 60 marks for each paper. A separate Kannada language test will be conducted for Kannadiga students living in the inter-state border areas and other States on August 30.

The KCET registration process will begin on 15 June 2021.

PUC results will be based on the internal assessment and marks scored in the first year examination.
