A NEET UG score of 620+ would be required for candidates belonging to the General category under AIQ while a NEET UG score of 550+ would be required for General Merit Students under the State quota.
MBBS Seats in Private medical colleges in Karnataka are divided into A-Category (Government seats), B-Category (Private seats) & C-Category (Others Quota seats & NRI seats).
40% of Seats in Private colleges & 25% of Seats in Private Minority Colleges are reserved as A-category seats. Only Karnataka students fulfilling any of the clauses set by the State Govt. can compete for these A-category seats.
40% of seats in Private colleges & 55% of seats in Private Minority colleges are reserved as
B-category seats. 50% of total B-category seats in Private medical colleges are available for Karnataka students & the remaining 50% seats are available as Open quota seats for which all Indian citizens are eligible. 66% of B-category seats in Private Minority medical colleges are filled by respective religious/linguistic minority students. Of the remaining 34% seats, 50% seats are reserved for Karnataka students & the remaining 50% seats are reserved for All India candidates.
C-category seats are further classified as Others & NRI seats. The Others quota seats constitute 5% of the total seats for which all students except NRI/NRI wards are eligible whereas NRI seats constitute 10% of total seats for which only NRI/NRI Wards are eligible.
