The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken a historic and landmark decision for providing 27% reservation for OBCs and 10% reservation for EWS in the AIQ Scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate medical/dental courses from the current academic year 2021-22 onwards. This decision would benefit nearly 1500 OBC students in MBBS & 2500 OBC students in PG medical courses & around 550 EWS students in MBBS & around 1000 EWS students in PG medical courses.
The AIQ Scheme was introduced in the year 1986 under the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court to provide for domicile-free merit-based opportunities to students from any State who aspire to study in a good medical college in another State.
Initially, there was no reservation in AIQ Scheme up to 2007. In 2007, the Hon’ble Supreme Court introduced reservations of 15% for SCs and 7.5% for STs in the AIQ Scheme. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has uploaded the Status of Application for candidates appearing in Institute of National Importance Common Entrance Test (INI-CET) July 2021 session. Candidates can now check their status of application and take required action by 23rd April, 2021. Those candidates whose registration and Basic Candidate Information were complete but couldn’t download their Exam Unique Code (EUC) can now download it.
AIIMS, New Delhi has also given another chance to those candidates who couldn’t complete their application form before the closing date which 12.0.2021. They can now complete their application 22nd April, 2021 (05:00 PM).
Institute of National Importance Common Entrance Test (INI-CET) is a Combined Entrance Test for PG medical admissions at Institutes of National Importance (INI) namely, AIIMS-New Delhi and all new AIIMS, JIPMER-Pondicherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS-Bangalore. Following the campaign by the 2015 MBBS Graduates in Karnataka, the Government has decided to release the documents along with KMC Registration for students who studied in Government Quota seats in various medical colleges in Karnataka. The documents and registration will be given to them after they submit an affidavit complying to the compulsory rural service whenever they get an appointment.
Even after months of graduating, these students weren’t returned their original documents which they had submitted during the time of their admission as there was no decision made on the compulsory rural service by the High Court. Without any documents and registrations, these doctors weren’t able to proceed with their career plans.
The decision to release the documents and give registration to these doctors were considered in a meeting held with the medical education minister, director of medical education, officials of health department and MBBS students. Another meeting is expected to hold over the weekend for students of different categories. The health department is also looking over the vacancies available and the rulings of the High Court on this matter.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has issued the admit cards for candidates appearing in NEET PG 2021. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Examination (NEET) for PG medical admissions in various medical colleges in India is going to be held on 18th April, 2021 across various test centres present in the country. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging in the official website after entering the required information. Candidates can save and download their admit cards for further use.
NBE is providing a COVID E-pass along with the admit cards. This e-pass will help in facilitating their movement in the restricted areas.
NEET PG entrance examination is the single qualifying entrance examination for medical admissions to various PG courses like MD/MS and PG Diploma courses in to all institutes except the institutes of national importance. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has opened the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG Final Edit Window for candidates appearing in 2021 on 2nd April. NEET PG Final Edit Window will remain operation till 4th of April for candidates appearing in NEET PG 2021. Candidates would be able to rectify the incorrect images of their photographs, signature and thumb impression during this time.
NEET PG is the single qualifying entrance examination for medical admissions for students who wish to study various postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and diploma courses, in government or private medical colleges in the country which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). In a recent upgradation in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, new Diplomate in National Board (DNB) postgraduate courses have been introduced for medical admissions in the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). These newly added specialties for PG medical admissions in the medical college in Arunachal Pradesh are Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Paediatrics.
Dr Moji Jini, doctor at TRIHMS informed that the institute had applied for DNB postgraduate course in four specialties including Anesthesiology, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics and radiology after obtaining letter of permission for starting MBBS course in 2018 to meet the requirement of more specialist doctors in the state. While DNB anesthesiology has been accredited for a period from January 2021 to December 2025 and DNB obstetrics and gynecology from January 2020 to December 2024 in the institute, DNB radiology will be accredited once the MRI machine is installed in the radiology department at TRIHMS.
This step would not only improve the quality of patient care but would also widen the academic activity of the medical college, stated Dr. Jini.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2021 for PG medical admissions in various medical colleges in India is scheduled to be held on 18th April, 2021 for which registrations have been completed during 23rd February 2021 to 15th March 2021. A total number of 174886 applications were received by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) from PG medical aspirants for NEET PG 2021. However, payment for 1063 candidates were found pending after the last date of applications.
NBE has therefore decided to open the window for these many aspirants from 28th March (3 PM onwards) till 30th March (3 PM) to make required payment for the applications if they so desire.
No new applications can be submitted during this time by any candidate. These applicants will have to choose ‘OTHERS’ option for the preferred test city which shall be allocated by NBE within their state of correspondence address subject to the availability of testing nodes. Any change in information provided in the application form could also be made during this period and no separate ‘edit’ window will be provided for the same. NEET PG is the single entrance examination for admissions to MD/MS and PG Diploma courses.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released applications for Diplomate of National Board Post Diploma Centralized Entrance Test (DNB PDCET) 2021 session. DNB PDCET 2021 session will be conducted across various exam centres for medical admissions to various post diploma DNB courses on a computer based platform on 9th May,2021. The applications for DNB PDCET 2021 can be submitted by 14th April 2021 online through the NBE website.
DNB PDCET 2021 shall be conducted in a single day and a single session as a computer based examination. The examination shall comprise of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and candidate will get 120 minutes to answer the questions. There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted answers.

The new Government Medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir have been granted with new PG courses. In a major change in the healthcare department, the Government medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir have been accredited for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Courses in various departments. These accredited institutions would get two PG candidates in the certified stream every year.The Union Territory has been approved with 30 Super Specialty and Broad Specialty courses NBE.
Among these courses, two seats have been granted by the NBE to GMC-Doda in the department of Anesthesia, two seats each have been granted to the department of Community Medicine and Paediatrics in GMC Kathua, two seats have been granted to GMC-Anantnag in the department of Dermatology and provisional accreditation has been granted to the Department of Orthopaedics in GMC Rajouri while the Hospital Administration and Psychiatry departments of GMC Jammu has also been granted accreditions. The DrNB Neuro-Surgery department of GMC Srinagar and the departments of Anatomy and Physiology of SKIMS Srinagar have also been accredited with two seats each for PG medical admissions.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has stated that it will try its best to accommodate the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) candidates in their correspondence address in the state of Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Pondicherry and those who had chosen ‘others’ while filling up the application as an option within the state and UT if the required number of nodes are available.
This was stated by NBE Executive Director Pawanindra Lal in his reply to Madurai MP Su Venkatesan who had earlier written to the board to increase NEET PG centres in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry as the exam centres in these two places were filled up in less than 4 hours while the applications for PG medical entrance examination were released. . The MP wrote twice to NBE as March 15 was the last date of applying for the exam.
In his letter, he had stated that travelling to far states during the pandemic would not only be risky for the candidate but also for the guardian. NBE has replied that the availability of testing seats will result in allotment of seat to a candidate according to the correspondence address.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the notification online registration dates for NEET PG 2021, which is conducted for PG medical admissions in India. The exam has been decided to be conducted on 18th April, 2021 through a computer based platform throughout the country. Application form for NEET-PG 2021 can only be submitted online in the NBE official website from 23rd February 2021 (3 PM onwards) to 15th March 2021 (till 11:55 PM).
NEET-PG is a qualifying cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses which will be conducted across various centres in the country. The procedure for filling up the application fee for NEET PG 2021 is to be followed by everyone. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has recently released the application forms for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021which is going to be held on April 18. There have been a lot of changes seen in the format of NEET PG 2021 starting from the reduction of the question papers to the increase in the number of examination centers. Candidates have been given time till 15th to fill up the applications for the PG medical entrance examination.
With a lot of time in hand, it was seen that the examination centers in Tamil Nadu were filled up in less than four hours when the applications were released.
Meanwhile, Madurai MP Su Venkatesan has written to the Ministry of Health and Education, Government of India to increase the number of examination centers for NEET PG 2021. In the letter, he mentioned that he had been receiving a lot of representations from PG medical aspirants saying that they couldn’t get a centre in Tamil Nadu. Along with Tamil Nadu, all the neighboring centres in Pondicherry and Karnataka were also full. The MP in his appeal has requested to increase the number of NEET PG exam centers that would not only accommodate all the candidates but would also help them concentrate for the exam.

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council having completed their internship before the prescribed date are eligible for applying for NEET-PG. NEET-PG is the single qualifying cum ranking examination for admission to medical colleges in India.
AIIMS New Delhi invites online applications for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) January 2021 for PG medical admission in AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru & PGIMER Chandigarh and 7 other AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur & Rishikesh) for January 2021 session. The INI-CET shall be conducted on 20 Nov 2020. The basic registrations starts from 29 Sep to 12 Oct 2020.
Applicants who have applied earlier and whose Basic Registration have been ACCEPTED for January 2019, July 2019, January 2020 and July 2020 session for AIIMS, are not required to complete Basic Registration again. They will have to complete Final Registration only after Generation of Code.
The Final Status of Accepted Basic Registration will be available on 19 Oct 2020 by 5:00 PM. The process of eneration of Registration Unique Code, Uploading of Images and Final Registration will start from 6 Oct 2020 to 26 Oct 2020.
The candidates can check the status of Final Registration and submit required documents from 3 Nov 2020 to 6 Nov 2020. The Final Status of Final Registration and uploading of admit card on AIIMS website will be on 10 Nov 2020.
The National Medical Commission (NMC), a new body, will function as the country’s top regulator of medical education from 25 September 2020, a day after the Centre dissolves the BoG-MCI through a gazette notification.
The setting up of NMC was a government move to bring reforms in the medical education sector, especially aimed at replacing the MCI, which was marred by corruption.
The Government had dissolved the MCI in the year 2018 following the corruption charges and replaced it with a BoG, which was chaired by Dr VK Paul, member (Health), Niti Aayog.
The IMC Act stands repealed, and has been replaced by the NMC Act that came into existence on August 8, 2019. “Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) is hereby repealed with effect from September 25. The BoG appointed under section 3A of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) in supersession of the MCI constituted under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act shall stand dissolved,” stated the gazette notification issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW).
The NMC will have four separate autonomous boards: UG Medical Education, PG Medical Education, Medical Assessment and Rating and Ethics and Medical Registration.
The process for CPS-PG admissions 2020 for various Diploma and Fellowships courses has been started. NEET PG 2020 eligible candidates may apply for the same on the official website of CPS Mumbai on or before 8 Sep 2020 till 5:00 PM.
The provisional merit list will be published on 8 Sep 2020 after 9:00 PM. Any suggestions on Provisional Merit List can be update till 09 Sep 2020 till 05:00 PM.
The display of revised merit list will be published on 9 Sep 2020 after 09:00 PM. The online preference forms can be submitted from 10 Sep 2020 to 12 Sep 2020 till 05:00 PM.
The first selection list will be published on 14 Sep 2020 after 9:00 PM. The selected students should join the allotted institute up to 18 Sep 2020 till 05:00 PM. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the schedule of DNB (Post MBBS) final round of centralized merit based counselling for academic session 2020.
As per the schedule, eligible students who are registered for DNB (Post MBBS) should login to their account and pay the first year course fees between 5 Sep and 7 Sep 2020 to participate in the final round of counselling.
The students who pay the required fees shall be eligible to add/edit/re-order of filled options/choices for the final round of counselling from 5 Sep to 5:00 PM on 7 Sep 2020. The processing of the final round of seat allotment will take place on 8 Sep 2020 and the result shall be declared on 9 Sep 2020. The allotted students should join the institute between 9 Sep and 15 Sep 2020.
Only the registered candidates who have not been allotted any seat during the previous rounds will be eligible for this round.
If seat is not allotted in this round, the students can exit from the counselling and the first year fees will be refunded to them after the counselling process is over. In case if seat is allotted, the student should download the Allotment letter and Visit the allotted Hospital to join the seat.
In a major move that is going to enhance the availability of specialist doctors even in remote corners of the Country, the Medical Council of India Board of Governors and the Central Government have given their recognition nod to the eight 2-year Diploma courses (Post MBBS) granted by NBE.
With this, the NBE which currently offers DNB & FNB courses would also be offering 2-year Diploma course.
The two-year diploma course from NBE will include Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA), Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DGO), Diploma in Paediatrics (DCH), Diploma in Family Medicine (DFM), Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO), Diploma in ENT, Diploma in Radio-diagnosis (DMRD), Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Disease (DTCD). These shall be recognized medical qualifications when granted by the New Delhi based NBE after August, 2020.
The NBE has clarified that the hospitals with a minimum of 100 operational beds are eligible to seek accreditation with the NBE for the diploma courses. Keeping into consideration the requirement of the States, 50% of the NBE Diploma seats in the districts hospitals of a State shall be reserved for In-Service students of the State concerned.
The Rajasthan NEET PG Admission/Counselling Board 2020 has released an official notification regarding the final offline round of counselling for PG medical admissions in Rajasthan.
According to the official schedule, the online registration for all NEET PG qualified candidates throughout India will remain open from 21 Aug 2020 till 7:00 PM of 23 Aug 2020. The eligible candidates can deposit the counselling fee
(application form fee) from 21 Aug 2020 to 5:00 PM of 23 Aug 2020.
Those having incomplete online application form (of Round 1 / Round 2 / mop-up round) may also now complete their online application form.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the revised schedule of DNB (Post MBBS) third round of centralized merit based counselling for academic session 2020.
As per the schedule, eligible students who are registered for DNB (Post MBBS) can add/edit/re-order of filled options for the 3rd round from 5 Aug to 5:00 PM on 8 Aug 2020. The processing of the 3rd round of seat allotment will take place on 9 Aug and 10 Aug 2020.
The result of third round of centralized merit based counselling for admission to DNB (Post MBBS) course will be published on 11 Aug 2020. The allotted candidates should make the payment of the first year fee between 11 Aug 2020 and 16 Aug 2020.
The process of E-joining starts from 11 Aug 2020 and ends on 16 Aug 2020. The allotted candidates should physically join at the allotted institute/hospital between 11 Aug 2020 and 20 Aug 2020.
The candidates who have joined MD/MS course in 2020 session through the counselling conducted by counselling authority of the respective States are not eligible for participation in the third round of centralized merit based counselling for DNB (Post MBBS). An undertaking duly signed by the candidates is to be submitted to this effect.
As per the order passed by the Honourable Supreme Court of India in M.A. files in W.P. (C) No. 76 of 2015 by the Rajasthan Government and Private Medical Colleges of Bihar seeking extension of last date of PG medical admission, the Honourable Court was pleased to extend the last date for PG medical admission on National basis from 31 July 2020 to 31 Aug 2020 for 2020-21 only. The reporting time for Stray vacancy round is till 14 Aug 2020.
Also, it is informed that the MCC will provide the facility for Fresh Registration for candidates who could not register in earlier rounds of counselling and hence were not eligible for Stray vacancy round of counselling and could not participate in the Stray vacancy round for PG medical admission.
There will be facility for Fresh Registration and Payment from 3 Aug 2020 to 7 Aug 2020. However, no Choice Filling or Fresh Allotment will be made by MCC during this phase.

Dr. NTRUHS has released notification for inviting applications for stray vacancies in PG Medical Courses in Private Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2020-21.
Fresh applications are invited for filling up Stray Vacancies from the candidates who have qualified in NEET PG 2020 and not applied earlier to the University and also not admitted in any medical colleges either under Competent Authority quota or Management quota.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced the PG Counselling schedule for Institutional Level Round for the seats remaining vacant after the Second Mop-Up round.
The counselling authority has published the vacant seat matrix and list of eligible candidates for Institution Level Round of Private medical colleges in Maharashtra. The vacant seats will be transferred to respective medical colleges.
The eligible candidates who are interested to participate in the Institutional Level round of Maharashtra PG counselling should submit their application to respective medical colleges in Person/Online/Email with photocopies of requisite documents before 28 July 2020 Up to 01:00 PM.
The medical colleges shall publish the Merit List/Selection List/Wait List on their Notice Board and Website on 28 July 2020 by 6:00 PM. The selected candidates should report to the college from 29 July 2020 to 30 July 2020 up to 4:00 PM.
The medical colleges shall publish the list of admitted candidates and vacancy (if any) with publication of second selection list from wait listed candidates on 30 July 2020 up to 06.00 PM. The last date for reporting is 31 July 2020 up to 05:00 PM.
KNRUHS notified the conduct of Telangana Management quota Mop-Up phase of Web-based counselling for PG medical admissions in Private medical colleges in Telangana State affiliated to KNRUHS. The counselling will be conducted for unfilled seats after final phase, vacancies due to not-joined/discontinuation and also the vacancies that may arise due to sliding of candidates during the process of Mop-up phase itself.
The candidates whose names are notified in the Telangana Management Quota provisional final merit list of PG medical admissions on the website of KNRUHS are eligible to exercise web-options online from 7:00 AM on 28 July 2020 to 4:00 PM on 28 July 2020.
As per the candidates’ registration and eligibility for MQ-1, MQ-2 (NRI) categories, the candidates will have to exercise web-options for the Mop-up phase and seat allotment will be done accordingly.
The candidates who were allotted seats in the previous phases of counselling and who have not joined/discontinued the course after joining are not eligible. The candidates who will be allotted PG medical seats in this phase are required to pay University fee of Rs. 49,600 and download the allotment letter.
The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee has released official notification regarding second round PG counselling schedule for PG medical admission in medical colleges in Tamil Nadu under Management quota.
As per the schedule, the registration cum payment facility will be available till 28 July 2020 up to 11:00 P.M. The Choice filling / locking will be available from 11:00 AM on 29 July 2020 till 11:00 PM on 29 July 2020.
The result of Second round PG counselling will be declared on 30 July 2020. The candidates who will be allotted PG medical seats in medical colleges in Tamil Nadu should download the provisional allotment order from 5:00 P.M. on 30 July 2020 onwards. The candidates should report to the allotted medical college on or before 5:00 PM on 31 July 2020.
All eligible candidates should register to participate in the second round PG counselling and fresh choice filling is to done by the registered candidates. The candidates have to pay non-refundable amount Rs.1000 as processing fee by using Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card. Those who have already paid during first round of counselling need not to pay again.
The Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) has released official notification regarding Mop up round of PG medical counselling. As per the on notification, the mop-up counselling for Government and Management quota seats will be done separately through web conferencing on 27 July 2020.
The candidates who deposit fee money in advance shall only be eligible to participate in the mop-up counselling.
As per the mop-up counselling schedule, the web conferencing for Reserved Govt. quota seats will be done from 9:00 AM. All eligible UT of Puducherry candidates with reservation can participate in this session. The web conferencing for Unreserved Govt. quota seats will start from 9:30 AM in which all eligible UT of Puducherry candidates can participate. The web conferencing for Management quota seats will begin from 10:00 AM onwards in which all eligible candidates can participate.
During Mop-up counselling, the PG medical seats will be allotted only after the entire tuition fee is paid, preferably by way of DD or through RTGS/NEFT; otherwise seat will not be allotted. For this purpose the candidates can either transfer the tuition fee in advance to CENTAC account or deposit DD for fee amount in favour of CENTAC.
The Admission Board, Rajasthan has announced the schedule for Rajasthan Offline Mop-up round of PG medical counselling for State registered candidates.
The candidates from throughout India who are not yet registered in State can register online from 24 July 2020 to 28 July 2020, 2:00 PM. The candidates willing to participate in the counselling should deposit counselling fee from 24 July 2020 to 28 July 2020, 12:00 noon.
The counselling for allotment of residual PG medical seats for Government medical colleges in Rajastham JMC Jhalawar and RUHS CMS Jaipur will be conducted on 31 July 2020 at the Government Dental College, Shastri Nagar, Jaipur. The seats will be allotted on the spot based on merit and the allotted candidates should complete the PG medical admission formalities including submission of documents and payment of required fees at the desk of concerned medical college on the same day.
The counselling for allotment of residual PG medical seats for Private medical colleges, the counselling will be conducted on 31 July 2020 at the concerned medical college. The candidates are required to contact the concerned Private medical college directly.
Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) notified the conduct of KNRUHS mop-up phase of web-based counselling for allotment of vacant PG medical seats in Government and Private medical colleges in Telangana under Competent Authority quota which includes unfilled seats after final phase, vacancies due to not joined/discontinued and also the vacancies that may arise due to sliding of candidates during the process of mop-up phase.
The candidates whose names are notified in the Provisional final merit list on KNRUHS website can exercise web options for PG medical admission in medical colleges in Telangana under Competent Authority quota from 7:00 AM on 25 July 2020 to 1:00 PM on 26 July 2020.
The candidates who were allotted seats as per their options in previous rounds of counselling and who have not joined/discontinued the course after joining are not eligible for exercising web options in this phase. The candidates who have already joined in PG medical courses after allotment in AIQ counselling by MCC are also not eligible to exercise web options in this phase.
The candidates who will allotted PG medical seats in mop-up phase have to pay University fee of Rs.20,600 and download the allotment letter.
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has released an official notification for Phase-2/Final Phase of Web counselling for Management quota seats of PG medical courses in Private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
The University has released a merit list of the candidates registered for AP Management quota. All the candidates whose names are in the Final merit list are only eligible to exercise Web options as per the schedule.
The date for exercising Web options starts from 6:00 PM of 23 July 2020 till 4:00 PM of 24 July 2020. The result of the Phase-2 Management quota counselling will be made available on 24 July 2020. The eligible candidates can give any number of options. One Time Password will be sent to the registered mobile number at the time of saving Web options.
The candidates who secured admission in the Phase-I of counselling and wish to change their College/Course according to their Merit, can also exercise their web options.
The candidates who will be allotted PG medical seat under Management quota should pay University fee of Rs. 49,500 for obtaining allotment letter through payment gateway and report to the Principal of the Allotted College.
The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC), counselling authority constituted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Govt. Of West Bengal, has announced the schedule for West Bengal PG Mop-Up Round for PG medical admission in medical colleges in West Bengal.
The candidates including those who are newly after lowering the NEET PG cutoff percentile are
allowed to enrol to West Bengal PG Mop-Up round of counselling by paying counselling fee online through official website of WBMCC between 2:00 PM of 20 July 2020 till midnight of 21 July 2020.
The candidates who are already registered in the first/second round of West Bengal PG counselling 2020 and not allotted PG medical seat in both first and second rounds of West Bengal PG counselling are eligible to participate in the Mop-up round provided they login to their account and express their willingness for Mop-up between 2:00 PM of 20 July 2020 till midnight of 23 July 2020.
The West Bengal Mop-up round will be conducted at RG Kar Medical College Kolkata on 27 July 2020 and the eligible candidates should report to the counselling venue from 9:00 AM on 27 July 2020 onwards till 11:00 AM on 27 July 2020.
The Office of the Chairman, NEET PG Medical & Dental Admission/Counseling Board-2020 and Principal, Govt. Dental College, Subhash Nagar, Behind T.B. Hospital, Jaipur has announced the second round schedule for Rajasthan PG counselling. The registration process has closed on 18 July 2020.
The authority has published the seat vacancies for the second round and the merit list of eligible candidates on its official website.
The schedule for the further process of counselling has been announced. As per the schedule, the candidates whose names listed in the merit list can deposit the registration fee from 19 July 2020 to 21 July 2020 by 12:00 noon.
The candidates after payment of the registration fee can fill in their choice of college/course online from 19 July 2020 to 21 July 2020 by 2:00 PM. The processing of seat allotment will take place on 22 July 2020. The result will be declared on 23 July 2020. The candidates who will be allotted seat can generate online allotment letters on 23 July 2020.
The candidates who have joined the allotted college of Round 1 & not upgraded in Round 2 can exit without forfeiture of fees on 24 July 2020 by 5:00 PM.
The National Board of Examinations has declared the result of NEET PG 2020 on 30 January 2020. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in consultation with the Medical Council of India has lowered the minimum qualifying Percentiles as follows:
General - 30th Percentile; Score - 275
SC/ST/OBC - 20th Percentile; Score - 230
UR-PWD - 25th Percentile; Score - 252
The revised NEET PG score card of all the candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2020 can be downloaded from NEET PG official website from 20th July 2020 onwards. The revised NEET PG Score card will not be sent individually to the candidates.
For the current academic year, the NEET PG 2020 cutoff for PG medical courses has been decreased by 20 percentile. While for last year, the NEET PG cutoff for General Category candidates was 44 percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it was 34 percentile. There was a deduction of only six percentile in the previous year’s cut off, while as many as 27 marks were reduced.
The candidates who become eligible after lowering the NEET PG 2020 cutoff are now eligible to participate in various counselling processes at Central and State level.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the process of Fresh Registration for the Mop up Round of PG medical counselling.
As per the schedule announced by MCC, the last date for fresh registration is 17 July 2020 till 3:00 PM. The Payment facility will be available till 5:00 PM of 17 July 2020. The Choice filling will begin from 14 July 2020 till 19 July 2020 up to 11:55 PM. The locking will be available from 3:00 PM of 19 July 2020 till 11:55 PM of 19 July 2020.
Candidates who have been allotted seat in the first round and availed Free exit and those who exited with forfeiture of fees in the second round are eligible for Mop-up round provided they do Fresh registration again. Those who are allotted seat previously need not register again. Candidates who have joined seat allotted in second round of AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities are not eligible.
The result of MCC Mop-Up round of PG medical counselling will be declared on 21 July 2020. The students who will be allotted PG medical seats should report to the allotted medical college from 21 July 2020 to 27 July 2020 to complete PG medical admission formalities.
The non-reporting & non-joining/vacant PG medical seats after the Mop-Up round of PG medical counselling will be transferred to Deemed/Central Universities on 27 July 2020.
The Department of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has released revised notification for the Mop-Up round of PG medical counselling for the students including those qualified after lowering NEET PG cutoff seeking PG medical admission in medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
Fresh registration is available for the candidates who have not registered during first round. The registration window is open from 13 July till 17 July 2020.
Earlier registered candidates need not register again. The candidates who are willing to participate in the Mop-up round of counselling freshly should deposit a security amount of 2 Lakhs for Private medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh and Rs. 25,000 for Government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
The merit list of the candidates eligible for the mop up round will be published on 18th July 2020.
The candidates whose names is present in the merit list will be eligible for the Choice filling process. The fresh Choice filling and Locking will start from 19th July and available till 21th July 2020. The allotment result for the Mop Up round will be announced on 25th July 2020. The candidates who will be allotted PG medical seats should report to the allotted medical college from 26th July 2020 to 29th July 2020 till 5:00 PM.
