Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate seeking MBBS admission in All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi must have
- Completed 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year of MBBS admission
- Must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying entrance exam. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates. In respect of PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 45% instead.

Some of the academic services offered are fully facilitated library, surgical skill training, workshops, telemedicine facilities, etc.
Comfortable accommodation is offered to students with well-built hostels. A lot of additional facilities such as mess and shops are also available to the students. Recreational facilities are also provided to the students in the form of sports, gyms, etc.
AIIMS New Delhi Facilities
Library
The library at AIIMS Delhi has an extensive collection of study material. It consists of over 73,142 books, 78,727 bound volume journals, 17,674 pamphlets, 8,503 theses with CDs and DVDs. The digital library collection is also extensive with about 156 e-books, 1,562 e-journals, etc. Separate sections are allotted for e-journals, bound volumes, reference books, etc. Electronic lab and book banks are present separately. There are also reprography and printing services present at the library. An e-reading hall is also available. OPAC services are used for smooth library transactions. The reading rooms remain open at all times on all days and are accessible to students, staff, residents, etc. This library is also offering remote services to its members to take advantage of its services. On occasions, certain events are held by the library committee. The library remains open 24*7 except for national and certain other holidays.
Central facilities
There are certain central facilities offered by AIIMS Delhi Institute of Medical Science to boost students academically further. The services offered include Cadaveric surgical skill training, central animal facility, computer facility, electron microscope facility, etc. All of these facilities help polish students’ practical skills as well as research skills. The central animal facility is monitored by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) from time to time. The specimens used for experimentation include rats, guinea pigs, etc. The computer facilities at AIIMS New Delhi established way before computers were known to be used widely. The central workshop establishment helps students to be trained medical professionals. Telemedicine facility, stem cell facility, and other units are also present at the medical college.
Hostels
Hostel facilities are made available to students at AIIMS Delhi College. Separate housing units are available for girls, boys, and staff. Offering accommodation within the campus allows students to dedicate more time to academics. Hostels also allow students to bond better with their peers, strengthening one another’s personality. 21 different hostel units are present within various campuses that are all present within a radius of 3 km. 9 of the units are allotted for men and 6 are exclusively for women. The type of rooms at the hostels includes both single rooms and double sharing. Few hostel units have triple and quadruple sharing as well. The housing units for UG students and PG students are allotted differently. The hostels have a total capacity to hold about 2717 residents. The toilet and bathroom facilities are shared for most hostels. All the hostel rooms are well-furnished with a cot, cupboard, chair, table, and bookshelf. Common rooms with TVs are available at the hostels.
Other Facilities
