Eligibility criteria for MBBS/Entrance Exam prerequisites:

For admission to MBBS Course at JJMMC Davangere, affiliated to RGUHS Bangalore, candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
The candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group (40% in the case of SC / ST candidates).
The candidate must have passed in English as a compulsory subject.
The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before the year of MBBS admission.
Candidates seeking MBBS admission at JJM Medical College Davangere must qualify in NEET UG (National Eligibility Entrance Test).

Candidates seeking admission at JJM Medical College Davangere should have completed one year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination before 31st March of the academic year.

Entrance Exam for PG Medical/ Diploma:

Candidates seeking PG Medical Admission and Diploma admission JJM Medical College must qualify in PG medical entrance exam.
Qualified candidates shall be called for PG Medical/Dental admission counseling in the order of merit.
Based on the availability of medical seats, candidates will be allotted a MD/MS/PG Diploma seat.
Candidates who have passed Diploma examination in the same subject, when he/she takes up Degree Course in the same Subject

Conditions for the Non Resident Indians:

Candidate should have studied 10+2 years in a recognized institution with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English language obtaining minimum of 50% marks in each subject. The Candidate should be a valid Foreign Passport. NRI essentially means a student who has studied abroad in a recognized institution for a period of 12 years or a candidate who has studied for a minimum of 5 years abroad and passed the qualifying examinations in India in a recognized institution or qualifying examination from abroad.

Infrastructure Facilities:

Library and Information Center: The vast area offered by the Library and Information Centre accommodates almost 1500 readers at a time. There are separate areas of reference that are offered for the undergraduate, postgraduate as well as faculty members. Personal reading section is also made available. The SS Digital Library is the latest improvisation providing V-SAT connectivity and 25 user terminals. The center has a total of 26,008 books, 12,372 back and bound volumes and subscribes for 302 current periodicals.

Hostel: The hostels facilities are offered with both single and double occupancy. Almost 1,100 boys and 770 girls can be accommodated. A well managed kitchen with excellent catering services is also available. Each lecture theatre has state of the art audio visual aids, excellent accommodation facilities with auditorium and an examination hall with 450 sitting capacity.

Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJM Medical College) is among the most established medical colleges in India. It is located in Davangere in the state of Karnataka. JJMMC Davangere offers multiple facilities in order to offer students the best medical education and clinical practices. All the amenities that are required to make students comfortable on the campus are offered by JJMMC.

The college is packed with academic resources for students and facilities such as committee associations, which are set up to offer the students an educationally stimulating ambiance.

Laboratories

JJM Medical College Davangere has multiple laboratories for all the different specialties. All the laboratories are packed with the latest equipment in the medical field. With these labs, students have a medium to get familiar with all the various equipment used in their field. Faculty members are at their disposal to guide them on the correct clinical procedures. All the equipment also undergoes maintenance procedures from time to time to make sure they are functioning effectively. Apart from the laboratories, JJMMC also has a central skill lab. Here the students are demonstrated appropriate clinical procedures for practice. They are also trained on lab management techniques at this skill lab.

Library

JJM Medical College Davangere prestigiously owns one of Asia’s largest libraries. It consists of all the updated medical academic resources. This library also possesses books outside medical resources in order to motivate students to develop the essential skill of lifelong reading. The library at JJMMC takes up two floors of the building. There are 10 reading rooms that are present in total. All of the reading rooms are facilitated with air-conditioning to offer a comfortable atmosphere. The library is large enough to accommodate 356 UG students, 472 PG students, 116 staff, and 316 additional for personal reading.

JJM Medical College library is open from 9 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturdays and 9 am to 2 pm on Sundays. Two months prior to examinations, the library is kept open from 10am in the morning to 12 am-midnight. In total, the library is recorded to own 17,488 books. It is also subscribed to about 184 journals, out of which 86 are of Indian publications and 98 of foreign. There are also hard-bound journals present. It also has a vast digital collection. The digital section of the library has 35 Windows NT Platform systems. The lease line connectivity is 30 Mbps. The digital library gives access to more than 3500 e-journals, books, and other resources. The library is also facilitated with other amenities such as a photocopier, audio-visuals, photography section, and in-house binding section.

Lecture halls and Exam halls

The lecture halls at JJM Medical College Davangere are used for effective communication between students and lecturers on academic topics. JJMMC has a number of lecture halls for teachers to deliver lectures. The lecture halls have a capacity to accommodate up to 300 students. These lecture halls are designed to be comfortable and spacious. They are also facilitated with sufficient chairs and tables for students to occupy. They are equipped with adequate lighting and fans as well. Audio-visual facilities like projectors, microphones, speakers are also incorporated into lecture halls. JJMMC consists of multiple examination halls. These halls can accommodate the students comfortably during examinations.

Auditorium

JJM Medical College’s auditorium is called the Bapuji auditorium. This auditorium is a large complex facilitated with all modern amenities. It has enough seating units to accommodate a large number of students. The interior has the best audio-visual systems incorporated. The inside of the auditorium is also designed to give the audience the best sound experience. There is also a large and spacious stage built for activities. It is also fully air-conditioned and is equipped with great lighting.
