MBBS Course / Eligibility Details at M.V.J Medical College

Candidates seeking MBBS admission at MVJMC Bangalore must qualify in NEET UG (National Eligibility Entrance Test). Qualified candidates shall be called for MBBS admission counseling, conducted by KEA based on the availability of seats, candidates will be allotted MBBS seat at MVJ Medical College Bangalore.

For admission to MBBS Course at MVJ Medical College Bangalore, affiliated to RGUHS Bangalore, a candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group (40% in the case of SC / ST candidates). The candidate must have passed in English as a compulsory subject. The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before the year of MBBS admission.

Eligibility Criteria for MD/MS/Diploma Admission

For admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Course at MVJMC Bangalore, affiliated to RGUHS Bangalore, candidate must have obtained an MBBS degree from MCI recognized institution.

Candidates seeking PG Medical admission at one of the best private minority medical colleges in Karnataka, M V J Medical College Bangalore, must have completed one-year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination.

Candidates seeking MD/MS/PG Diploma admission MVJMC Bangalore must qualify in PG medical entrance exam. Qualified candidates shall be called for MD/MS/PG Diploma admission counseling in the order of merit. Based on the availability of medical seats, candidates will be allotted an MD/MS/PG Diploma seat.

The examination for PG Medical courses shall be held at the end of three academic years (six academic terms). The examination for the diploma courses shall be held at the end of two academic years (four academic terms). The university shall conduct two examinations in a year at an interval of four to six months between the two examinations. Nor more than two examinations shall be conducted in an academic year.

MD Courses offered:

The courses are offered in the following disciplines: Pathology, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Anesthesia, and Radiology.

MS Courses offered:

The disciplines offered in MS courses are General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, and OBG.

Diploma Courses offered:

PG Diploma courses are offered in DPM (Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine, DCH (Diploma in Child Health), D Ortho (Diploma Orthopedics), DGO (Diploma Obstetrics & Gynecology, DA (Diploma in Anesthesiology), and DOMS.

The MD/MS degree courses are for a duration of 3 years while the diploma courses are for a period of 2 years.

Hostels: Hostel facilities are available in the college campus. Separate blocks for girls and boys are available with each block accommodating around 500 students. Additional rooms are being added to meet the increasing demand.

Library: The sprawling Central Library and information service is spread over 3,250 sq.mts. on two floors and can accommodate over 850 users at a time. It is compartmentalized and classified into the following sections.

Transportation: The College has a fleet of comfortable buses, which operate from various parts of Bangalore city to the college and back. Hoskote, located 3 km from the college is well connected by state and city bus services to all parts of Bangalore city.
