Admission Process for MBBS in VIMS

A student looking for admission in VIMS Bangalore for MBBS course must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
The student should have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group (40% in the case of SC / ST candidates).
The student must have passed in English as a compulsory subject.
The student should have completed the age of 17 years on or before on or before 31st December of the year MBBS admission.

Entrance exam for MBBS in VIMS

The students must qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) to secure an admission in the Vydehi Medical College, Bangalore. Vydehi Medical College Facilities:

Lecture theatres

Vydehi Medical College consists of 6 lecture halls that are well-constructed. All of the lecture halls are fully air-conditioned. 5 of the lecture halls have a seating capacity of 300 and one with 650. The lecture halls are equipped with audio-visual facilities such as an overhead projector, slide projector, LCD projector, and a microphone. The lecture halls are also used as a medium for virtual classes to offer the students advanced academic services. These halls are made to be fully comfortable for both students and lecturers.

Library

The library at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre has a vast collection of 21,960 medical-related books, 20,200 journals out of which 166 yearly subscriptions to Indian publishers and 84 foreign. The library is equipped with audio-visual facilities like projectors. The entire library is also provided with an internet connection. It also has a vast digital collection of e-books and journals. Photocopiers are also present in the library. The library is kept open from Monday to Saturday between 9 am and 11 pm. On Sundays and other holidays, it is kept open from 9 am to 4 pm.

Digital Museum

Vydehi Medical College Bangalore has the most comprehensive medical digital museum. It consists of various specimens, visuals, and information on multiple medical departments. It is also equipped with all the modern amenities such as a transparent LED box, virtual x-ray, department screens, scheduled video manager, digital catalog. This museum adapts the most modern aspect to academic education. Students are exposed to various interesting information and discoveries with the help of this museum. Auditorium and Examination halls

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences has a large auditorium. This auditorium has a seating capacity of 1500 people. It has a centralized air-conditioning system. It also has the best audio-visual facilities. The college has 3 examination halls. All of them can accommodate up to 350 students at a time. It is fully equipped with the necessary seats and tables. The seating arrangement is set in such a way that there is enough space between each student.

Student Mentoring Programs

There is a student mentoring program incorporated at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences Bangalore. This was set up to help students to get through their medical studies with maximum growth. The aim of this unit is to help students cope with the stress that academics may put them through. Teachers under this program offer support in every way possible. Each mentor gets assigned 5 to 6 students to guide.

Hostel and Cafeteria

There are separate hostel facilities arranged for girls and boys. Each room can accommodate up to 3 students. The hostel blocks have their own library facility. The hostels are facilitated with 24*7 water, electricity, security, along with heaters, water coolers, telephones, furniture, etc. There are common rooms with TV along with other common reading rooms. Dining facilities are also made available at the hostels. There are gymnasiums and indoor game facilities as well.

VIMS has a cafeteria spread across an area of 2,500 sq. ft. Students and staff can rely on this for their catering needs. Hygiene is maintained at the cafeteria at all times.

Sports

Areas for sports activities such as football, cricket, throw ball, basketball, Shuttle, Badminton, Table Tennis, Athletics are available. There are also 2 gyms with equipment such as treadmills and weights. Facilities for hydrotherapies and ayurvedic therapies are also available.

Transport and Stores

Vydehi Medical College Bangalore provides a transport facility to all the staff and students in the city. There is also enough parking space available to all the staff, students, and other visitors.
